The Strategic Role of ESG (Environment, Society, Governance) in Shaping Sustainable Business Models
On October 17, 2024, from 11:15 to 13:00, a presentation was held at the Faculty of Economics-Skopje, highlighting the growing importance of green and sustainable finance in tackling global challenges, with a particular emphasis on addressing climate change. The guest lecturer, Ms. Maja Stavreva-Stojanova, Sustainability Officer at Sparkasse Bank AD Skopje and CESGA – Certified ESG Analyst, presented key concepts and practices behind green and sustainable finance, highlighting their role in building a resilient and sustainable economy.
The lecture emphasized that today’s generation is not the first to confront environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges. Responsible business practices and environmental protection have been concerns for many years. The event not only promoted awareness but also called for active participation, encouraging attendees to reflect on the values shaping both personal and organizational decisions. It served as a guide and an invitation to explore how responsible practices can contribute to a better future for all.
