PANEL DISCUSSION at the International Interdepartmental Scientific JEAN MONNET CONFERENCE
The panel discussion, held within the International Interdepartmental Scientific Jean Monnet Conference “Challenges of the Western Balkans Countries to the Accession on the EU Internal Market” on 13 November 2025 at the Faculty of Economics – Skopje, addressed highly specialized topics. This conference was primarily organized to gather professors and experts from across the region who work in the field of International Trade and European Integration, fostering dialogue and strengthening regional academic cooperation. Also, it was also open to participants of the EBTSF Conference, enabling a broader academic audience to engage in the session. Moderated by Prof. Katerina Toshevska-Trpchevska, the panel brought together leading scholars who examined key aspects of the Western Balkans’ EU integration, including the state and perspectives of the accession process, the region’s position within global value chains, the impact of EU membership on GVC participation, the export potential of services, and the convergence dynamics with the European Union. The diverse contributions offered rich comparative insights and fostered interdisciplinary dialogue, strengthening the exchange of expertise between the two scientific events.
