On October 1, 2025, during the first academic class of the new semester, we proudly welcomed the newly enrolled students of the Department of International Trade, which is honored to be recognized as a Jean Monnet Chair. The project’s objectives were presented, underscoring its mission to advance knowledge and research on European economic integration. Special attention was given to the pivotal role of trade in today’s interconnected world, where the global exchange of goods, services, and ideas drives economic progress, shapes societies, and creates opportunities for sustainable growth. We also outlined the key events planned for the academic year—lectures, workshops, and webinars—carefully designed to deepen students’ understanding of EU market dynamics and the significance of international trade for sustainable development. Students were encouraged to actively participate, engage in debates, and contribute to the project’s initiatives, thereby strengthening their connection to European economic studies and the wider global trading system.
